"I think this is a wonderful thing you are doing. I am a two time breast cancer survivor. (2006 & 2007)" Kathy Walker "That’s a great thing you’re doing for breast cancer. Hopefully, some day soon we’ll find the answer to cancer and be able to beat it."
Helen Bradfield "I was 28 when I felt a lump and was quickly thrown into the world of scary medical terminology I knew nothing about. After a month of appointments with specialists, mammograms, sonograms, a needle & surgical biopsy to remove my "non-mobile suspicious abnormality"...I was given the wonderful news that the lab results came back benign. I consider myself extremely fortunate and my heart goes out to all those women who weren't as lucky. I am so excited to be a part of Siuprem's Breast Cancer Awareness campaign! No one person can do everything, but everyone can do something....and together, we can and will make a difference." Suzy Lamb "I am a survivor going on my 4th year. I was very lucky to have my primary doctor located 2 lumps both 1by 1 by six one under my arm and one in my breast with her hands. Well there was no fooling around with a day I had a monogram and a sonogram the monogram did not pick up anything but the sonogram did. Within a week I had a lumpectomy when I spoke to her that evening she confirmed the surgeon believed it was cancerous. I went in for all the tests prior to surgery and had a double mastectomy and reconstruction all within 2 weeks. After the surgery I found out they removed 16 lymph nodes of which only 1 was cancerous, I also was informed I had HER2 which is very aggressive. Immediately my primary sent me to one of the best oncologists who treated me with regular chemo therapy as well as Herceptin which is only for HER2 patients and is a miracle drug. I did my year of chemo and have been cancer free. I was lucky to have such wonderful doctors and advanced treatments I am told I am in the 90’s percentile for cure. I am very grateful for all the efforts people like your self make to help in the fight against breast cancer. Early detection is a must as well as knowledge. I feel that a mammography alone might not be the answer sonograms should go hand and hand with it. Keep up the good work and thanks for letting me be apart of your effort. If you need anything please let me know." Maria Sclafani
